I have now been trying Nollie for around 2 hours now and it seems that I can not get the fingerboard away from the ground its really annoying me I also tried yesterday for around a hour and I just cant master it I have watched video tutorials and everything is there any easy way to learn it?

you tried for 3 hours totals. nollie takes days if not weeks to get. I barely have it, and have tried for months now. keep trying and you'll get it.

Dude, this stuff takes practice, you can't just expect to get a brand new difficult trick in a day, it takes time, just watch some tutorials and keep going for it

I like to attempt new tricks first thing in the morning, seems to work out better for me as the brain is well rested.

Also Youtube a "how to nollie on FB" and mock the hand gesture a few times.

rice crispy them nollies. Not too much of the crackle but you snap yo nose on the flo and then pop them janks in the urrr and let you fingers flow with the movement and then bring it down and feel based. there my friend is you learning how to nollie like a boss.

I find with higher kicks boards, I can land SO much more than lower kicks boards, but I like the feel of the lower kicks boards.

Also, with loose trucks, I can't land nearly as much as I can with tight trucks, BUT I ALWAYS RIDE LOW KICKS BOARDS WITH LOOSE TRUCKS!?

I don't know....... I can do tricks fine, but its straaaange!

I have nollie flips and switch flips almost on lock, nollie more so. i've never really focused on getting them good until like a couple of months ago. it just takes practice.

try learning nollie to smith on a ledge, its how i got it

years before I started fingerboarding I had a tech deck, all I could do was ollie/nollie/switch ollie/fake ollie.. but yea, I must have had nollies down since I was 14 so I don't remember how long it took me to get them. I remember doing my first nollie nosegrind on my windowsil (where I used to tech deck as a kid, haha) and being insanely stoked.

Try moving really fast and pop the nose. I kept doing that and I learned nollies that way.

I know... Nollies took me about a month to get down, yet an ollie took 5 days.

So yeah, Tips:

- Put up your fingers. When first learning to nollie, put your fingers more above the deck, and when you get good at it, just set them anywhere you want. It's also good to know nollie shuvits.

- Pull back. I know, this makes it look bad, but it helped me with my ollies/nollies. Get them down, and then you can do them without pulling back.

- Actually move your fingers. Remember to pop with your index finger, and slide up your middle finger. It takes a little time, but you can learn it. And move your hand with the board.

- Practice. Nollies are tricky at first but It's always possible. Just keep going and going and you'll get it.

Like morrow said, I learned my nollie by switch ollie. Tho my nollie has like no height, lol.

Nollies are a weird trick. What happened to me is that I could never get it, I could barely do the motion. But then one day I sat down, tried it, and on my third try, I did a clean 5 inch high nollie. This happened to someone I know to. Out of nowhere you just get them and you always land them.

I think the problem with nollie/switch in general is that you are scooping your hand in a way that it doesn't naturally go.

If you extend your right hand out in front of you with your palm facing down so that you see your knuckles isn't it easier to turn your wrist clock wise instead of counter clockwise?

An ollie is easier than a nollie, but not because a nollie is actually a harder trick, but rather it is due to the fact that our hands and arms are chiral objects (asymmetric) which results in some tricks being harder than others.
