well the other longboarding thread was dead, and i didnt want to bump it so i thought i would make a new one (mods delete if this is bad srry). I just started longboarding doing basic slides with my sector nine pintail (meh) but im getting htis complete tomorrow

My dad longboards, I personally have only tried it a few times, but I find it really fun, and want to pick up a setup this summer to shred on!

That's really all i rode at kona... 49" S-9 pintail cadillac shape bones reds or swiss .. satori purple haze wheels in green smoke color.

Deck was snagged about this time last year, and due to injury I cant skate anymore (11 Months so far), till I dont know when..

The original concept is pretty cool, having a plastic board just to mess around on, but its like every time I go skating it seems that everyone and their grandmother has one. I feel the same about longboarding. Also, that like 90% of longboarders are huge pricks.

People have them cause they're fun just how lots of people have skateboards for the exact same reason. you're also stereotyping a group of people which makes you look like a prick so therefore all skaters must be huge pricks

The majority of skateboarders are huge pricks haha It's not that I hate the longboards/pennys, it's usually the people who ride them. (not saying they're all bad)

I might get a penny I kinda like the short feel of them. I mean I ride a super short habitat Sluggo Boyce gave to me ages ago that I love riding, so I guess short decks are kinda in my blood. It's awesome having a dad that's great friends with a bunch of awesome oldschool guys

Back on topic, I don't longboard and can't quite get over the flex in the boards. Done properly it looks awesome though. Bombing hills is terrifying though...

The flex in the board scares the crap out of me. Convinced that by stepping on one, it'll snap in half.

don't have anything against longboarding, looks pretty fun, but the polar skateboards designs make me laugh, especially the scooter ones.

Most of the "Skaters" I've met are judgemental douchebags who make fun of somebody for not being able to ollie. Every longboarder I've met has been kind enough to take the time to try to teach me to slide. Both sides have kooks. Don't be part of the problem.

I was actually joking, but when he said "fuck you get out of my thread" it made it a little weird. I don't really care what anyone rides, I just love how offended everyone gets about it. You could be a scootering, rollerblading, longboarding kind if person for all I care just don't short snake, and don't drink monster haha
