hopefully im posting this in the right section
so i was told in my newest video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaSWQbfaumI that i use my thumb in my video even though i dont use my thumb i looked at the video and it kinda looks like i do is it my style? or is it the camera angle? or what

Just fingerboard dude, don't really try to come out with fake style. After a while, your style with start progressing.

When you mention it, it does look like it. But anyone that takes notice and commenting on it has to be looking really hard for something to critique and arrest you for something that only looks like it and they would basicly have that kind of lame mindset right from the start..lol..some people are just strange and get some kind of kick by hating on others! Personally I dont think you are using your thumb, so you are good by me! Dont take it to personal man, haters just want to feed the hate..
Keep fingerboarding for the fun! Keep your own style and do with your fingers what works for the trick you are about to perform. Dont have your mind set on anything else then fun and techniqe!

I love your style. But just fingerboard for fun. And I find it harder to use my thumb, and still do the trick.

Well if you look closely to the pop out trick at 0:11 you clearly are not using your thumb and the only way you'd know how to this is by know how to already pop out properly. I guess its cause in this specific video your thumb looked low haha. But from what i saw he should have checked out your other videos to be sure. But he didnt so Just do you. If you know you didnt then thats what matters. Dont let it drag you to insecurity

So, I just watched the video again, lol Your style is pretty chilled, but it does look like you're picking up the board lol. Try extending your thumb towards your body?

Not sure if this is a joke or if you just didn't think it through? The only finger that you could remotely tape your thumb to is your index, and you need that to fingerboard. Unless you taped it across your palm to your ring finger, which would be ridiculously uncomfortable and impossible to fingerboard.

If you get used to tucking your fingers I find your hand sorta crimps up, dono, but whenever I tuck my thumb just follows suit.

It does look a little bit like you're using your thumb in some tricks, but if you say you're not, then you're not I flex my hand a little bit to avoid catching my thumb on the board - the amount of times Ive screwed up tricks because my thumb got in the way.

It does look like you're using your thumb even though you're not. My ring finger comes pretty close to my middle at times when I board, but I have bad joints from arthritis and it's uncomfortable to pull my ring finger in. I've wanted to try an untucked style, but it's not really a viable option for me. This is especially a problem with nollie as my ring finger tends to hit the nose frequently.
If you want to improve your style, keep boarding. Try flipping your tricks at different speeds or catching your tricks at different heights. Losen or tighten your trucks and try new deck widths. Either way, your style is pretty cool looking.
