Hi guys! I just found my 10y old TD last week and I am reviving my childhood!
But, I would like to get a wooden deck.
For a small budget I saw a few of them, bollie, star, closeup and would like to know your advices about those decks.
I also feel that my TD is a bit small for my adult's fingers and I wonder wich size could fit the best I am interested on a 32width.. I used to only "ride" TD and I also want to know wich concave looks the more like TD one.

Bollie and Closeup aren't too bad and they're companies that contribute a lot to fingerboarding. Avoid Star at all cost, they're too expensive for subpar products and don't buy Bollie wheels on their own, they're too expensive for non-bearing wheels. I'm assuming by TD concave you mean little to no concave. I don't know many companies that do flat concave anymore.

Also, 32 mm should be a perfect size for adults fingers. It's wide enough to be comfortable and you have the bouns of being able to use 29 mm trucks perfectly.

Check out Redemption, Level Up, Wicked Fingerboards, or any of the companies in the banner or Flatface for a decent deck. I know the decks can be pricey but a good deck makes all the difference.

If you need help with anything else feel free to ask again, I know this place isn't too active anymore but there is still a ton of valuable information here that will help you get back into fingerboarding.

I will take a look on the brands you quoted, I also heard a lot about BW, I assume that the experience won't be the same that with BR wheels but if the TD trucks and wheels can fit on it, it would maybe worth it to take a deck now and upgrade wheels later?
I saw bearing wheels on closeup for 14€ but they don't seem as smooth as Flatface or Br ones.

And even if this place isn't too active anymore, it's much better than in France where (mostly) all the websites about fingerboards are down..

Definitely grab something from Close Up since you're in France, support your local fingerboard company! Berlinwoods are definitely good decks and while TD wheels will work I think you might need to upgrade your TD trucks to something wider.

Save your money for some nicer wheels, 14 euros for the Close Up wheels are pricey since they're just generic lathed china wheels and won't beat the quality of Flatface wheels. The most cost-effective way to go at upgrading your fingerboard would be Deck -> Bushings + Grip tape -> Trucks -> Wheels.

Off topic but you're English is way better than average. Definitely a lot better than what I've been seeing in the US lately. And, while I hate to say this since I rather see people return here, check out Instagram since there are more fingerboarders active there and you're bound to run into some local French fingerboarders who can help you out.

I agree, start off with a close up and work your way up to nicer and more expensive products. Fingerboardstore.de has a great variety of advanced items and fast international shipping (I think they are closed for all of october though )

Yes I saw their website and finally ordered a closeup setup 32mm wide medium concave, and a single deck high concave to feel the difference. I will upgrade it step by step. Thanks again!

Sup! I received my babies yesterday and I have to say that I am really happy with them.
I feel more comfortable with the 29mm high kicks (probably because I only rided TD before^^).
Wheels are good too but a bit "hard" if you know what I mean, I will take a look for some softer and maybe less louder in a near future (sorry honey;)) but I am really hyped with the bearing system ^^

Sweet man! Nice to hear you're enjoying your new setup! Look into Oaks or Ywheels for soft urethane wheels. They're pricey but you'll love them and they're some of the best wheels on the market. They will grip the surface a lot more so just keep that in mind as you might find some slide tricks to be slightly more difficult.

Yes, it feets me well ^^. Yellowood already catched my attention as an european brand, and I joined instagram looking dor #fb and deeply found in love with planktoon graphics.
Did you already try them or know someone who did it? Because even if close up looks good on hand, graphics are not awesome...

I used to own a set of Ywheels and I've ridden Oaks for like 5 seconds at a local fingerboard event. They were quiet to ride until you started to powerslide and then it made that signature screech sound skaters love to hear.

I can't believe I forgot to mention Planktoon to you. Definitely, try their stuff out! I think their wheels are soft too if I remember it correctly.

Sorry if the Close Up graphics aren't that awesome, they are just China decks with a fingerboarder's touch. Technically, I've already tried Close Up products since they are just products you can get wholesale from China and in the US there are a few decently known companies to just sell wholesale products.

Hi! So , after few weeks I got some tricks back and its really cool ( so hyped!^^). I saw nice door handles in a DIY store and wondering on wich landing should I screw it to get a cheap DIY rail? I tought maybe veneer could fit or maybe small pieces of metal, any idea? Thanksalot! ????

For door handles people just take a block of wood and screw the rail in place from the bottom.
