To Finn saying you don't want to be in a coach for over 8 hours, where is your support for the English scene?! Get it bigger by coming to these events, people from Brighton and wherever, get a cheap coach, book now! These events are literally the life of our scenes, so get on it!

Sam, will it be held in the school again? Because if possible, could you try and get a place as close to Bolton Train station as possible? Was a bit of a nightmare getting a bus after the train, haha

Sorry for double post, but here's what i'm proposing for the one and only event;

BIG Game of Skate

32 (IF people attend) or 16 entrants
One game at a time, people watching.
Any obstacle can be used, so grinds and grabs are fully acceptable!
Even flat can be used if the setter chooses so.
The trick setter gets one try to do his/her trick, the defender has 3 tries, not to just land the trick but to land it CLEAN! This rule doesn't count on Flat.

The winner of the round goes through to the next; here's an example of the layout i'm thinking of;




So essentially, very similar to the berrics, haha!


Just as an edit; this layout means the prizes could be spread across places, with runners up, second and first, giving a greater spread of prizes, and even more prize winners if done correctly?

if everyone can get themselves to manchester and then to bolton train station, i will meet people at bolton train station and catch the bus with them.
the school is the bestest place for the event because the hall is large, and has consatina seats for spectators, and the school offers this me for free,

venues i've researched and looked into are £200 minimum.

the formats seem pretty good, especially the berrics style one,
the only thing i can think of that holds it back is the time it takes to do it,
so the only thing i can think of is if i can assign someone to referee the matches whilst other competitions are taking place.
as for the prizes, it all depends on how many prizes are sent, and how many competitions will be held,

Actually it wouldn't take as long as you'd think! Since this incorporates everything into one, street, vert and games of skate, it all involves consistency. So that's why i feel there should only be one event, and then the rest of the time can be for chilling out!

i suppose yeah thats a good idea,
i think we should all have a group vote closer to the time when the prizes are all in,
the only downfall i can think of is that only one person could walk away with the big prize,
having multiple event allows there to be more chance of coming out on top

Oh nooo, that's what i mean too, prizes can be spread out so that they're more dissipated! So the first prize is only slightly better than second. So at the end there may be 8 prize winners, since prizes are spread more. Just print out a certificate or something cheesy for first and second, all good

Edit; You could even get unrelated trophies, http://www.trophystore.co.uk/mini-stars-badminton-award-trophy-8cm for first, http://www.trophystore.co.uk/cheerleading-star-trophy-12.5cm for second, whatever, just have fun with it! hahaha

spilt it into rounds of qualifying, everyone gets a minuet jam then the people that preform well go through to play a game of skate on the park, sound simple? i think thats how fast fingers is done its really simple and mixs a jam into skate that could be for the big prize other prizes could be given out for best trick etc

or you could do it where there are 3 sections, tech line and transition? abit like street league where you get a score or you could even incorporate a game of skate into it some how? just some ideas

also will there be a park? or will it be the usual tables with random ramps?

or even better we could come up with our own format of a big competition?

it could be like the UKR format instead of FF?

once you get off the train, i'll be meeting you at the station to take you all to the event on the bus.
