Making Videos/Camera Reccomendations Empty
PostSubject: Making Videos/Camera Reccomendations   Making Videos/Camera Reccomendations EmptyTue Jul 19, 2011 6:55 pm

So I decided i'm getting good enough to maybe start filming some videos. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks that will help me out and if anyone could reccomend a reasonably priced camera (under $600.00)

Also I will be filming the majority of this stuff myself as I have no other friends who fingerboard so I thought about maybe that HD GoPro cam they sell on the blackriver site but i'm not sure, I tried to make a few vids with my iphone 4 but they just turned out shit. Portability is another issue, I travel a ton with my band so i'd like to have something thats on the smaller side, I figure i'll have oppurtunities to shoot videos in all sorts of cool places. I know a lot of people use the fish eye which looks pretty awesome so it'd be cool to maybe get a camera that has that option. Don't know really just looking for some suggestions, Thanks.

A gopro sounds like the right camera for you happy
Its small and lightweight, can be taken anywhere and withstand even the worst conditions like underwater
But there is a few down sides to the cam, like the poor sound quality, it cant really film that good in low light and has a poor white balance and most videos will come out yellow, which is why I dont want one anymore haha

Id suggest a nice and small HD camcorder with a fisheye, check out the canon legria 2011 models happy
It isn't really lightweight, but if you want the best of the bunch then buy a Canon EOS camera (550D, 60D, 7D)

^^^^^^^^^^^^

Or if you dont like Canon there's panasonic Lumix DMC range, they do the same stuff as Canon's but Canon's are more "popular". I got a £59 fisheye for mine, its great

But for you, just go for a GoPro. happy
