Ok so go down to your local stone mason or tilist the type of place you would go to get kitchen counter tops cut or bathroom tyles done etc and ask if they have any scraps and they will normaly show you a skip full of off cuts and you can noramly find some good sized pieces in there.

If you are still at school you can lie abit about it and say you are doing a "project" for school on matierls and ask if you could have a few difrent types of rock cut to a small size(fingerboard ledge size ) and some times they will do that

Or ask your technology teacher where to buy marble and then he'll ask what kind and you go any and then if hes cool he'll go and get u some! Worked for me!

yeah sorry about that, the clouds over Ohio finally realized that its winter, and now the work shop's kinda frozen. I've been behind on everything, and until i can convince mom to let me bring some of the tools down to the basement, working is virtually impossible.

finger banger there not all the same there samples or cut off peices they dont need so it can be any size then you ask if you could get it cut to a certain size
