Screw it! Lets go for double rainbow all the way! (I don't even know if I could get all 16 shades on one deck bottom let alone 32, but I can certainly try) New Mold is done (pic is the top half). This was attempt 2 but I think it's a winner. Might be able to salvage the first one and make a cruiser mold also, I'd hate to waste all that Bondo. I've got a deck pressing in this puppy overnight and will post the specs when it's done. |

| NEW MOLD SUCCESS! Here's the test deck that came out after shaping and sanding (not clear coated yet so there won't be any glare/gloss distortion in the pic). The deck is 32mm x 98mm. Tail is 22.5 degrees, nose is 25 degrees and 2mm longer than the tail, with mellow concave. I've got more veneer in the dye now and will be putting together a small run of colored splits similar to the style from batch 2 on my BigCartel page hopefully mid/late August. Thanks for stopping by, -Jason |

| Nose should be 20mm and tail 18mm from the start of the curve. It's a pretty gradual slope so the actual tail @ the full 22.5 degrees is like 15mm. It's hard to tell from the pic angles, but the tail is to the right on both of them. |

| Here's the new sexy colored veneer in a split: red top, blue middle, split bottom. Again, not clear coated yet. It's too time consuming to just do one so I will hit up a batch when they are ready. |

It will be worth the wait. 3rd release will be $10 a deck just like the previous two... with a lot if good changes. I've been riding the blank deck that I pressed as a test and it feels great! I'm going to change the truck mounting on the stencil slightly to maybe an even nose/tail or 1mm offset because of the gradual tail slope. My previous High/Deep mold will be put away for now and only used if someone would like a custom deck with that mold (there's just no real demand for "sky high kicks and gully deep concave" as normal stock). Aside from the new mold, new size: 32x98, and colored veneer, the third release will have better countersinks. One user commented that their countersink holes were not aligned properly, which did not effect mounting at all but cosmetically could be better. I've changed to a different method which is much more accurate. |

| In case you DO decide to sell on ebay, there's a tool you may find useful. http://salecalc.com/Make sure you put in a category or it wont work. (categories can affect fees) It calculates ebay fees, shipping fees, and paypal fees so you'll know how much to price something to make X profit. |

Make sure you put in a category or it wont work. (categories can affect fees) It calculates ebay fees, shipping fees, and paypal fees so you'll know how much to price something to make X profit. That's really helpful, thanks. I was thinking about moving the stock from runs one and two to eBay as "Completes" with a piece of foam tape and skate grip, TD wide trucks, a bushing kit, some pivot cups, and a set of China bearing wheels. It would all be explained in the description and hopefully would appeal to newer fingerboarders or parents looking for a gift. - K-A12 wrote:

Thank you! I have gotten a lot of good advice and encouragement from people on this forum. I get excited to see what other companies are doing and it makes me want to continually improve my decks. |

Thanks man Had a few setbacks and kinks to work out switching to the new mold. Two decks are shaped and ready to clear coat, two are molded, and the final 2 have the bottom plies all made up waiting to go in the mold. Should have the full 6 deck third run ready for release by the end of next week. I ran out of the Level Up top logos and either have to order more or switch to a different method before I can clear coat the decks. |
