| Yeah I think its because I don't have any ramps, cant afford to buy them and im not allowed, my dad says there a rip off. I can never seem to land anything good or new on the couple of decent ramps I have but ill still come on here, I probably wont post as much :L |

| Put it this way...
You don't need sick ramps and expensive stuff to fingerboard. It's all about having fun. And if you're not having fun, why do you still fingerboard, ey?
Think about it, then report back to me, Sgt. L. |

| the thing is all my ramps are ghetto, there cardboard and I guess there kinda solid but there just complete shit to ride after a while. And harry the thing is, im not saying I need sick stuff, I dont have any ramps apart from a rail and box. It just gets boring seshing the same obstacles every day. |

| Take it to the streets. Find some random shit and throw it together in the garden, and have a sesh. Yeh, it's cool having ramps but you don't need them. |

| I kinda know how you feel. I don't really have any "legit" ramps, other than the stuff I've made. But, I always just try to move things around, or put the ramps/rails in ways I've never thought of fingerboarding. Cardboard is actually really sturdy, you just gotta make sure you're making it right. My cardboard Jay ramp is pretty sturdy, I can land tricks on it fine, doesn't bend at all. Just put some sticky tack under it so it doesn't move, and use packaging tape to build it. If you wanna know how to make a good cardboard ramp, just Pm or something. |

| Be creative! ... There are a lot of things in your kitchen or your garden. Go to the carpenter maybe he can build you an obstacle. :/ |

| When you're connecting the top piece to the sides, keep them flat right next to each other then tape it. When you fold it, it makes it a lot sturdier, Then just add like a support piece in the middle too maybe. Edit:I also found that if you use hot glue, and thick cardboard, it comes out pretty strong, if tape isn't working out for ya. |

| Yeah, I haven't got that many ramps. I bought a Winkler dos mini since that's not something I would find easy to make myself. You can easily just arrange your own obstacles with boxes though. See my YouTube for crazy 5 DVD case techy manuals. :p
You could always buy TD ramps. Unless they're considered a rip off too. They're loud since they're plastic but they do the job.
If you have access to scrap bits of wood, then there's nothing stopping you building some of your own obstacles. I've got a few bits of scrap wood and I plan to build a few small picnic tables.
Also, you could watch loads of people's NCD competition entry videos. Loads of people had great ideas for building their own obstacles.
Watching videos in general might be good also.
Tidy your desk/fingerboard surfaces.
Rearrange your obstacles.
Fingerboard new areas of your house/other places.
Put on some of your favourite music, suitable for just chilling and seshing.
Mix up your boards/setups.
Buy/Make/Download Sk8 Dice to challenge yourself to do some tricks... maybe make different sets of dice for flatland/manuals/grinds.
Try to recreate a line/trick from your favourite skate video parts. |
