So I was on the FBHQ chat and we came to a disagreement on trick names...
These are the definitions I believe are correct, please post your views.
Inward flip - (flip is short for kickflip in this case) it's a fs shove with a kickflip Inward kickflip - same as above Hardflip - Similar to inward kickflip but goes through the legs and is more vertical Inward heel - bs shove with a heelflip Inward heelflip - same as above

There is no inward flip! A hardflip is a front shuv kickflip nowhere does it say it's gotta go through your legs or vertical, inward Flip which I've never heard of is just a hardflip, well atleast on a skateboard, am I missing something?
These trick arguments starte with YouTube because before that everyone knew that was a hardflip, the younger generation are making up names for tricks that have names..
Gold you are doing a hardflip in that video..
It's like people saying illusion flip or muska flip for a frontside flip cos it goes a bit vertical, it's made up waffle...
Just my opinion but it is correct
But everything else is spot on

As I said in the chatbox , a hardflip is a fs shuv with a kickflip. It can go through your legs, but it doesn't have to. An Inward, is a bs shuv with a heelflip. My basic run down: Hardflip=Fs Pop Shove with a kickflip, through the legs, or not Inward=Bs Pop Shove with a heelflip Varial Heel=Fs Pop Shove with a Heelflip Varial Flip=Bs Pop Shove with a kickflip

Well, I've had this discussion before YouTube was popular and have had these same views about the trick names before then.

I think "Inward" on its own is a bit ambiguous and should at least say heelflip or kickflip. Even without anything, I'd probably assume it would be an inward kickflip. People say varial instead of varial kickflip a lot too.

IronFingers is right,
there is no inward flip! It either has to be an inward heelflip, or an inward kickflip, which an inward heelflip 360 is a tre flip.

Surely if it was real it would be an outward flip cos your flipping it away from your body lol.. There is am inward heelflip and inward kickflip would have to be the same way but it's a varial flip, if you do a heel flip front shuv it's a varial heel but if you do a front shuv kickflip it's a hard flip.... It's very simple

Alright, to be honest, I have no idea where you guys are getting inward kickflips from haha. You can check the berrics, or just about ANY legitimate skateboarding website, and they will never call a fs shuv with a kickflip, an inward kickflip. Instead they will call it a hardflip, through the legs or not. Even on Youtube's suggestions for the search bar, inward kickflip does not show up right away. I don't know how else to prove this.

I know man as I said there is no inward kickflip ten years skating and I only start hearing these idiotic names in the last month or two since I started using YouTube

Nomenclature of tricks became so stupid sometimes...
For example, why FS and BS are "reversed" in fakie, and only in fakie ? Cause "the Berricks" guys decide so ?
Hardflip is a flip front without the body moving, Inward heel is a BS heel without the body moving. Other a varial flip/heel.

Fs and bs are reversed in nollie there the same fakie afaik, and no the berries Didn't decide that it switches..
Personally it makes sense to me because your still riding in your normal stance in nollie so when you do a nollie backside flip( that some say is front side) your still doing the same motion as a regular backside 180.
