| Post some cliches that you see in a lot of fingerboard videos. If you have used them, and know they are cliches, still mention them.
Here are some that I believe are cliches.
Putting your hand in front of the camera after you did something.
Long intro of your setup/nature/etc
The film burn effect between clips.
That's all I have, but I want to hear some more! |

| I don't believe the hand over the camera after a trick is a cliché. It is a habit that has outlasted recording on film/tape, where "marking" the tape makes it easier for editing when you FF through it and you're able to find the tricks by looking for the hand.
How about dubstep soundtracks?
Rolling off after a trick in a curved or squiggly line and emphasising loose trucks.
"Rainy day" vids. This is an overdone cliché.
Not really a cliché but Blackriver Ramps. |

Doing 2 tricks in succession on a rail/ledge that is usually designed for just 1 trick.
Sticker placements.
Rewinding in editing.
Sub4sub.
Comment. Like/Rate. Subscribe.
Trick in, grind/slide/manual, trick out.
Focus on obstacle.
Outdoor edits.

Definitely when the camera is just about focused on the obstacle, so it goes out of focus when they land the trick. |

I think a lot of newer people do it because they've seen others do it, without realizing the actual purpose. |
