I'm all for pessimism, but, come on.. UKR1+2 got sponsored by BRR. Maybe brr don't want to sponsor new smaller US events as there has been soo many? As far as I see how they work and what they like, they try to push fingerboarding in new places. Fuck all has happened here. Compared to the US, where one of the most influential fingerboard companies of all time has come from.. its not like they need to push fingerboarding there as much, so wont get on soo many things. They've sponsored little events this year in many places that fingerboarding is being pushed in, so, yea, its deffs worth a try.

Get some not so massive but also good companies on..
Big construction?
Oak wheels?
Maplewood?
Emanant?

Then also ask some companies like mitt, closeup, etc.

I think if we have it in a place like jack is going for, then, well, whenever we have to leave the place, people can stay and fingerboard outside, go on a lttle spot sesh around, maybe do some skateboarding as well? Then it'd at least last a whole day, and if people stayed over, or the locals met up again the next day, would be well awesome

im all for it you know, but i can just see it being all talk like most things here......i really do hope it happens, and i hope lots of people turn up..... and maybe one of the reasons for my negativity is that i don't live in fairytaleland and maybe im just trying to get jack to prove us all wrong

but if it was a weekend it would be sooo much better....like we could go into the hall sat and sun, and stay over and stuff, cos for all the people who dont live near Sheffield its gonna be a hellof a long way and money for a few hours meetup.....

It doesn't look like its gonna cost me much at all to get to sheffield! I have to go via london, because that way its cheap, so its like 8-9 hours journey each way, but, I don't mind ^_^ staying over would be much better than doing it in one day though
