ys + brr ed wheels. So, yes, yes you can. they're no way near as nice as on brrs as they don't lock in place and spin on the bearing, but, yea, they work and they're smoother than no bearing wheels.

from i like my stuff to be new. but buying a deck is so hard for me rite now i need a wide deck with medium kicks
i'm slowly going to step up my setup. plz send me some links thanks

Here is an example setup that performs great for a small price:
Redemtion MMC Mold deck: 15.00 - 30mm wide and medium kicks - redemptionfb.com/MMC_99_s.html
Flatface Dump Trucks: 4.00 - wide trucks lots of colors - flatfacefingerboards.com
FF Teflon Bushings and Washers: 2. 50 - good for tuning your trucks even further - flatfacefingerboards.com
Flatface G6 bearing wheels: 30.00 - My favourite wheels plenty of styles to choose from - flatfacefingerboards.com
Yellowood Slimtape: ~ 8.00 for 3 pieces - my favourite tape by far. easiest to install - yellowoodstore.com/goodies/prod/104

Total setup price: 59.50 USD

you could substitute the yellowood tape with riptape, and if you do you can get rid of the teflon bushings because each riptape tuning pack comes with a free set of bushings. its preference really, but i think yellowood slim tape is much much better than riptape. if you dont want bearing wheels (they are the most expensive thing in the setup) then bollie wheels perform well but not as much as FFs, and they are 14 dollars only.

hope this helped!

Try not to double post rm, and Noel I'd say it's your graphic smudging up, or wax maybe?

RM watch double posting! Just edit your last post if you have to add something else! happy

Also you could probably save just a bit of money on your set-up by buying some No-Comply wheels... They are a little bit cheaper than flatface but as with all things fingerboarding you'll find it's all about personal preference. happy

Some cheap, usable fingerboard items reccomended for beginners would probably be:
Pure deck(message the guy brian above me) Redemption (Redemptionfb.com)
Nocomply trucks
nocomply wheels
nocomply tape

Yeah very cheap, sick setups happy

But I'd definitely reccomend a more "professional" setup, like mine:
FL tape, FL medium deck, Ytrucks X3, Substance THCas
It's really nice and will certainly last a long time, if you have the money then go for it!

of course youre never going to get the performance from a cheaper setup when compared to a pro one, but it all depends on how much you feel you want to spend on this hobby. i fingerboard enough that i feel justified in buying yellowoods, pro trucks and bearing wheels and all the likes. but if you are just someone who fingerboards on occasion and doesnt do it so much or gets competitive about it, then its your choice on what you want to spend

As Brian said Pure is a good choice.

Temple fingerboards are good as well.

When Lovedrug finally releases they will be a very good deal coming straight out of Denmark!

Just check out the indie guys here on the forum most of them make very good products for very competitive prices and will sometimes customize their decks to your liking. Not to mention that almost every single deck company I've worked or interacted with on here has been nice as pie.

The one tip I will give you that someone gave me when I started that I hope you will never ever ever ever forget.

Fingerboard to have fun, if it comes to any other reason than that you are doing it for the wrong reasons. If you get caught up in gear, or competitions, or sponsorships just step back and remember WHY you are doing it.

It's the best advice I can give anyone about any sort of hobby like this.

What Brian said... It's not even that bad... Try to show them some of the professional videos and see if they change your mind? Sometimes it's just getting rid of the stigma that it is a skill and not just a toy.

Other than some people are just closed minded pricks and you just need to ignore them and keep doing your own thing.
