Dude, people who knew Jesus believed in His resurrection so fervently that they willingly died preaching it. Christianity wasn't popular. Oh okay, but if it's the inspired word of God, then how come there are multiple Old Testament books that are left out? Does that mean the inspired word of God was formed by a committee? Not to mention all of the contradictions it has inside of it.

And Alex, I think that those are 2 different things. Christmas isn't really tied with Santa IMO. I don't see him as the big man in red who rides reindeers. That image was made by 'coco cola'

And Thom, as far as I know it's illegal to talk about religion in America. I could be wrong. ATM, I'm taking my first year of confirmation at my church. Most of what I know is from what I've been taught there, and what I listen to during church on Sundays.
And Simon, there was never a need to talk about it. This started when you were saying Christmas is about gift giving.
